J Art Foundation houses a wide range of works, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints, and videos, with a focus on postwar Japanese art. The museum features a valuable collection of works by pioneers of abstract expression such as Ei-Q and Takeo Yamaguchi, the Gutai school of artists such as Akira Kanayama and Atsuko Tanaka, as well as artists from the Mono-ha movement. The collection also includes works by leading contemporary artists such as Tomoo Gokita, Chiharu Shiota, and SIDE CORE. The courtyard features works by Yoshitomo Nara, Kohei Nawa, Noe Aoki, Shiro Matsui, and Masayuki Nagare, as well as a permanent exhibition by TeamLab. Through these collections, J Art Foundation aims present the diverse appeal of Japanese art, from the postwar period to the present. Starting with the public opening of the courtyard and works by TeamLab, we will provide a space where everyone can experience art up close.

J Art Foundation is pleased to present a permanent exhibition of a collection of rare original drawings by Suehiro Maruo, one of Japan's leading manga artists and illustrators, in its main building. This collection is extremely rare both in Japan and overseas, as its exhibition in the main building will be its first time on public display. A periodically rotating roster of works will fully showcase the diverse and profound worldview depicted by Suehiro Maruo. The first exhibition will feature original drawings of his masterpiece Shojo Tsubaki (The Camellia Girl) The museum also carries works such as The Strange Tale of Panorama Island, Imomushi (Caterpillar), Binzume no Jigoku (Hell in Bottles), The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Lunatic Lovers, Dream Q-SAKU, and Rose-colored Monster, which are scheduled for display in future exhibitions.
